Organization of the 2009 IDB Annual Meeting

At last year’s Annual Meeting held in Miami the IDB handed over to the Government of Colombia the flag marking Colombia’s selection as host country for the 2009 gathering. The intervening months have been busy ones for the Organizing Committee appointed by the Finance Ministry, the agency charged with the Annual Meeting preparations and implementation of all the associated IDB decisions, measures, and requirements. Headed by Mateo Restrepo Villegas, this committee will be coordinating all activities preceding, during, and following the meeting.

Colombian Finance Minister Oscar Iván Zuluaga Escobar chairs the Annual Meeting Advisory Committee. Officials from the Office of the Mayor of Medellín, the Antioquia Regional Government, the Medellín Chamber of Commerce for Antioquia, and Proantioquia sit on the committee.
